Each Piece has 3 thick layers of a clear gloss Spar Urethane that contains an UV protectant against natures toughest conditions.

The blowfish have several holes drilled on the bottom so water can drain.

The finish on each piece is a base coat of acrylic paint with ceramic stains and textured acrylic paint detailing. I prefer using acrylic paints over traditional ceramic glazes because they afford me a much wider range of color which adds to the whimsy of my work.
